Junior Zookeeper Program

Is your child besotted with nature and wildlife? Then our Junior Zoo Keeper program is the experience which is sure to make their life! Fully supervised by our expert staff, our Junior Zoo Keepers do what a professional zoo keeper does in a days work. Learn all about animal husbandry, feeding requirements, specialist care, safety and of course handling experience. Get up close and personal with all types of reptiles, marsupials, marine invertebrates, amphibians, birds and insects. No where else can you experience such a unique hands-on native wildlife encounter.

A "Hands On" Interactive Wild Life Experience

Suitable for ages 5 yrs to 17 yrs.

Is your child simply ‘mad’ about wildlife? Does your child aspire to work with animals? Then the Wild Action® Junior Zoo keeper program is the perfect gift, or school holiday treat for them! Students will be placed in groups, relative to their age and experience.

Limited participants!

Only 10 students a day will be accepted into our program. This means that your child will never miss out! Live shows, hands-on demonstrations and professional supervision... leads to a unique experience never to be forgotten!

Where are we located?

Our property is situated in the picturesque Macedon Ranges, only 45 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD. Our 12 acre property is surrounded by natural bush, in which native wildlife abounds. So whilst your child enjoys our program, why not treat yourself to the many delights of this gorgeous tourism region. Go for a bush walk, enjoy the many restaurants and cafes, or book yourself into a day spa!

What will your child learn?

• Learn to classify animals into phyla, class, order, family, genus and species.
• Participate in captive husbandry techniques and learn to handle wildlife.
